Home - a sense of warmth

Home, what a beautiful word. The word itself radiates warmth; makes you feel like spring is around the corner.

It makes you feel as if it’s time to let go of all that worries you and just bloom. Just be.

It’s a safe haven, where we can be our truest version, without any judgements or stares or doubt. No filters and no burden to fit in or be good enough.

Every house isn’t a home, of course there is food, shelter and clothes in both but love is what makes the difference. Love, now that’s a tough one, or maybe not, I still wonder.

For me, home and love are both the same, a sense of warmth.

Close your eyes, imagine yourself with a cup of coffee, a blanket wrapped around you and right then the cold breeze that gently touches you with the sun shining brightly above. The feeling is of warmth; that is how a house should feel when there is love – that’s a Home!

I’m not talking about your lover or soulmate when I talk of love, rather I am purely talking of the sense of warmth.

When you care for what’s around you, show gratitude and radiate it for the smallest of things, maybe the glass of water you’re about to drink or your favourite T-shirt or maybe the view from your window or maybe for the ray of light that sneaked in, that sense of feeling is warmth. And that’s what builds a home.

Not all of us are born into a home, but it would be heart-breaking to not build one. You deserve it, never think otherwise, no matter how tough things might be now.

Your today doesn’t define your tomorrow, so wherever you are right now, close your eyes and think of what gives you the feeling of warmth. What ignites the feeling in your heart?

You don’t need to wait for the right time, for now is the right time. This is the moment, the moment to separate yourself from the chaos around you and to ask yourself, what makes you feel warm.

Think of the feeling, visualize it and then hold on to it tight. Never, never let it go. Walk towards it, feel more and more of it and see how you radiate it all around.

Today when you find your feeling of warmth, you’ve built your home! No matter where you are and who you’re around, you have a home now. You are your home and you are the love of your life, when you believe this, it will all follow.
