My love, should we just be?
How beautiful is this art of storytelling, what a wonderful use of words and voices, isn’t it?
On that rainy day, over a warm cup of coffee you told me
your story.
I’ve known you for a while now, I’ve known that you like
your coffee bitter, I’ve known that you love to read, I’ve also known what you’d
call your perfect day; but your story told me so much more.
Your story told me the journey you’ve had until the day we
met, what made you the version of you that I meet today. How mesmerizing is it
all, I say to myself and thank the universe for it all.
I know now my dear, I hear you and I love you even more.
For us to be together, we need to be vulnerable, we need to talk, we need to express, we need to lend a hand and hold each other. But most importantly, we need to stand by each other.
You’ve let go of it all and so did I. We’ve heard each
other, but we don’t hold on to any of it.
We’ve heard each other and we’ve let go of it all. We know
each other now, it is not to consume each other, but for us to mould into one.
I worship you and you
worship me, there are no judgements, no counts, no hesitation but only us.
I often think about us, while I do so I tell you:
“What do we feel like? Are we two rivers merging into one,
are we wind blowing towards the same direction, or are we just free. Free like
the sky, the ocean or the mountains maybe.. They’ve surely had their share of
ups and downs, but now they just are.”
And I ask you:
“Why don’t we just be, what do you think of it? Would you
want for us to just be?”
