Because of you & I..

 

At times when I am anxious, feeling jittery I think of you.

I think of you, you who is not yet here, you who hasn’t yet walked into my life, and

you who might not walk into my life, who knows.

I’m not disheartened or upset by the fact, rather this thought is so powerful that I feel whole!

 


I think of you, you who I lean upon, you who I unconditionally love.

On a hot summer day, you are like the cool breeze that hits me, brings me right back and makes me feel home.

You are my shelter, even though I am my home. You are my pillar, whereas I am my foundation.

How glued are we together, but still how beautifully can we drift!

 

I know in me is you, and that bit of you is what I’ll carry to my grave and beyond.

To my grave and beyond, I promise shall you go with me, and so many more bits of you’ll.

 

Bits of the stranger who smiled at me that afternoon, the bits of my mother waking me up for school, the bits of my grandma plating the pudding for us all, the bits of my father pushing me towards life and oh so many more!

 

Today I’m here with you, because of all those who came before me, and

Tomorrow shall there me a legacy who shall go on because of you & I.

We’re chasing, you and I, all of us. We’re chasing the dreams, the ideal lifestyle, the perfect skin or body, or just something. Home - a sense of warmth

Home, what a beautiful word. The word itself radiates warmth; makes you feel like spring is around the corner. It makes you feel as if it’s time to let go of all that worries you and just bloom. Just be. It’s a safe haven, where we can be our truest version, without any judgements or stares or doubt. No filters and no burden to fit in or be good enough. Every house isn’t a home, of course there is food, shelter and clothes in both but love is what makes the difference. Love, now that’s a tough one, or maybe not, I still wonder. For me, home and love are both the same, a sense of warmth. Close your eyes, imagine yourself with a cup of coffee, a blanket wrapped around you and right then the cold breeze that gently touches you with the sun shining brightly above.   How beautiful is this art of storytelling, what a wonderful use of words and voices, isn’t it? On that rainy day, over a warm cup of coffee you told me your story. I’ve known you for a while now, I’ve known that you like your coffee bitter, I’ve known that you love to read, I’ve also known what you’d call your perfect day; but your story told me so much more. Your story told me the journey you’ve had until the day we met, what made you the version of you that I meet today. How mesmerizing is it all, I say to myself and thank the universe for it all. I know now my dear, I hear you and I love you even more. For us to be together, we need to be vulnerable, we need to talk, we need to express, we need to lend a hand and hold each other.
